Letters: Taiwan was colonized too

Having just spent an egregious amount of time reading news clips and updating this page, am now running late. Am looking forward to receiving the aforementioned production’s pilot and the lovely disclosure agreement.

Note to a friend:

I have been there several occasions but not recently. It’s a little difficult to get a scope for the place if you’ve been only to the capital, for Taipei is very different from other areas on the island. For scenery, the misty interior is lovely, as are other natural areas outlying the cities. Sun Moon Lake, for example. And then there are the mountain ranges to the east. My family is from the coastal cities at the southern tip, Tainan and Kaohsiung. Yes, I believe another trip is in order for you.

Early morning “news” perusal with my cuppa reveals that Owen Wilson of Hollywood Sunny-hair attempted suicide. Certainly news to me of the whoaa variety, for am out of it with champagne gossip. Nearly two months old this piece. Why doesn’t anyone clue me in? Poor man.

Culinary Misadventures

JF and I casually dressed for a spot of din at a wine bar, and bumped into some of the Russki’s Norwegian and French compatriots. It was sweet to note that JF had taken a peek at my blogroll and was chewing on this following a taste of gator. Fashion gum! Ridiculous, adorable and par for the course when a vegan abruptly indulges.

It was my first try at reptile too. Tasty but not truly s0, if you catch my drift.

So plenty of wine was drunk, plenty of thoughts were thunk, but I fear the fine varietal was wasted on me. There was talk, should I be swayed from present interests, on a position partly based in…Singapore.
